Join us for a one-of-a-kind DIY experience!  Our private workshops are the perfect way to add a touch of magic to your special event. Whether it's a staff party, family gathering, bridal shower, or just a get-together with friends, our private workshops are a fun way to celebrate!

 

    Private Candle Workshop

    Cost: $45 per person

    In this hands-on workshop, we will lead you through the process of making your very own soy wax candle.  Choose from our selection of luxury candle vessels and clean burning, non-toxic fragrances.

    Our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, cotton or wood wicks, and clean-burning phthalate free fragrance oils.  With proper wick and candle care, your candle will have a total burn time of approximately 40-60 hours.

    Guests will take home a 7-9 oz soy candle in the scent and vessel of their choice. Due to the 60+ minutes it takes for the candle to solidify, we offer the option of picking up your finished candle at a later date.

     

     

    Private Soap Making Workshop*

    Cost: $65 per person

    In this interactive workshop, we will guide you through the process of cold process soap making using plant-based oils, butters and lye along with natural essential oils, skin safe fragrance oils, clays and dried botanicals.

    You will make your very own 2 pound batch of cold process soap that will give you approximately 8 finished bars. We will focus on the basics of cold process soap making including soap safety, basic terminology, different plant-based oils and butters and the benefits of each in soap, the curing process, and the benefits of handmade soap vs store bought soap.

    This workshop is designed for beginners, ages 13 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

    Private Birth Chart + Crystal Bracelet Workshop 

    Cost: $45 per person

    In this hands-on workshop we are combining the unique magic of your personal birth chart with crystals in a custom bracelet you will create! 

    In this workshop you will receive your detailed personalized birth chart and Kellie will dive into the Sun, Moon and Rising signs and how these placements reflect your image and personality, and she will chat with each attendee personally to briefly go over their individual charts.

    After going over your charts, you will create your own birth chart bracelet using genuine crystals and stones that represent your Sun, Moon and Rising signs along with lava beads that can be infused with your favorite essential oils.

    Guests will take home:

    - personalized complete birth chart

    - decorative birth chart sheet

    -  unique birth chart crystal bracelet

     

    Private Body Oil + Bath Soak Workshop

     Cost: $65 per person

    In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to craft botanical infused body oils and bath soaks that are both beautiful and therapeutic, while sipping from our mimosa bar.

    We will learn about the properties and benefits of different plant carrier oils such as sweet almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, avocado and camellia seed oils, how they nourish, moisturize, and absorb into the skin and which are best for different skin types.  We will discuss different bath soak ingredients such as Epsom salts, Dead Sea Salts and their soaking benefits. We will also touch on different essential oils and botanicals and how to scent and infuse your body oil and bath soak with them.

    Guests will take home:

    - 12 oz glass jar of their unique bath soak blend that is good for 4-6 baths.

    -  8 oz glass bottle of their unique botanical infused body oil.

     

    Private Canvas + Cocktails Workshop

    Cost: $45 per person

    In this hands-on workshop Dave Kippen of www.davekippenart.com will be guiding you through the painting process to create a stunning Lake Michigan sunset artwork all while sipping from our mimosa bar.  Don't worry, no prior experience is needed! Dave has painted the beautiful water and sunsets along our lakeshore for years and will help you create one of your own. You can use the reference photo that Dave supplies, or for advanced artists you are welcome to bring an image of your own to paint.

    What you get: All the supplies needed to create a beautiful 9x12 finished work of art.

     

    Workshop Details

    • Workshops last approximately 1 to 2 hours.
    • We can accommodate 6 to 24 attendees.
    • Each workshop includes our complimentary mimosa bar with champagne, selection of 3-4 juices and ice water.
    • You may bring in your own food.
    • Workshops are recommended for ages 13 and up.  Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and you must be 21+ to drink alcohol.
    • Attendees will enjoy 20% off to shop our Wicked Soaps Co. and Ritual + Root products.

    Scheduling Your Workshop

    We are currently scheduling private workshops for the following days and times:

    • Monday through Thursday:  5:30 pm, 6:00 pm, or 6:30 pm
    • Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays:  Anytime between 10:00 am and 6:30 pm

    If you are looking to have a private daytime event during a weekday, just contact us and we will try to accommodate! 

    For inquiries or to schedule an event, please email hello@theritualroot.com or fill out our Contact Us Form and we will get back with you within 48 hours.  Please include the following in your email inquiry:

    • Event type (team-building, birthday party, bridal shower, girl's night, etc.)
    • Party size (minimum of 6 required)
    • Preferred date and time

    Deposit and Payment Information

    There is a non-refundable $45 to $65 deposit required (equal to the price of one registration) to confirm the reservation which will go toward the workshop balance, with the remaining balance due one week before your workshop.  

    Want attendees to pay for their own registration?  We can create a private workshop event and provide you with a link to share so each attendee can register and pay for their spot.  We just still require a deposit to reserve the workshop date.

    Cancellation and Refund Policy

    Workshops begin promptly at the scheduled start time. Please communicate with us if you expect to be late. You can reach Misty at (517) 213-3857. Failure to show up within 30 minutes of your scheduled start time will result in the cancellation of your workshop without refund. If your group arrives late after failing to communicate beforehand, your workshop will result in cancellation without refund.

    Other Terms and Conditions

    You may add additional tickets to your workshop up to 1 week (7 days) prior to your workshop date. Please note - Workshop tickets are non-refundable, so you cannot decrease the number of tickets once your invoice is paid.

    Your group count must be finalized at least 1 week (7 days) prior to your workshop.  If you arrive with a group count higher than what was indicated on your invoice(s), we will not be able to accommodate any extra unexpected attendees

    How it Works

    We are excited to launch our new Ritual + Root Loyalty Program!

    When you join the Loyalty Program, you will receive a Loyalty Card and will receive a stamp for each workshop you attend. Once you've received stamps for attending five workshops you will receive a $45 credit toward your next workshop!

    Terms + Conditions

    • Each guest may earn only one loyalty stamp per workshop attended.

    • Loyalty card must be presented at the workshop to receive loyalty stamp.

    • For free workshop, guest will receive a reward code good for $45. If workshop price is more than $45, guest is responsible for paying the difference.

    FAQ

    • How do I enroll?

    Ask to join the program during your next visit to Ritual + Root and we will set up your account and issue a loyalty card.

    • Do I get multiple stamps if I purchase multiple seats at a workshop?

    No. Each guest may only earn a loyalty stamp for the seat they occupy at a given workshop. However, each guest is welcome (and encouraged!) to sign up for the program and earn his or her own stamps.

    • How do I redeem my free workshop?

    Once you have attained all five stamps, we will issue a unique online discount code good for $45 toward any future workshop.

    • What if the workshop I want to attend is more than $45?

    You will be responsible for paying the difference if the workshop you want to attend is more than $45.

    • How do I receive a stamp?

    Just present your Loyalty Card to a Ritual + Root employee during the workshop you are attending and we will stamp your card.

    • Is there a time limit or expiration date to earn and redeem my free workshop?

    Nope! There is no time limit for earning or redeeming.
