Ritual + Root began in 2022 as a dream that blended the passions of our two founders—Misty’s handcrafted creative business, Wicked Soaps Co., and Kellie’s spiritually rooted Reiki practice. What started as a collaboration between creativity and healing has grown into a beautifully curated studio designed for meaningful gatherings, modern rituals, and inspired self-expression.
We believe in the magic of slowing down, crafting with purpose, and celebrating the moments that matter—whether through candle-making, seasonal DIY ritual bars, intimate workshops, or warm gatherings that bring people together. Every detail in our studio is intentionally considered: soft ambient lighting, layered textures, handcrafted wood tables, and botanical-glam styling that creates a calming, elevated retreat.

Meet the Founders
Meet Misty
Misty is the co-founder and creative force behind Ritual + Root. She leads our social media, brings our brand vision to life, and is the maker behind Wicked Soaps Co., where she has spent over a decade crafting small-batch soap, skincare, and candle creations.
Originally from mid-Michigan and rooted in West Michigan since 2017, Misty brings a deep love of handcrafted artistry and sensory experience into everything she does. An Aquarius Sun with a Cancer Moon and Sagittarius Rising, she blends visionary creativity, cozy intuition, and an always-up-for-anything spark—a combination that naturally shapes the warm, imaginative experiences at Ritual + Root.
Her background in formulating natural products influences the hands-on, sensory offerings she creates in the studio—from our Candle Bar to our rotating Monthly Ritual Bars—each designed to bring beauty, intention, and creativity into everyday life.

Meet Kellie
Kellie is the co-founder, Reiki practitioner, astrologer, and intuitive guide at Ritual + Root. With her photography and art background, she’s the eye behind the beautiful imagery that captures the heart of our studio, and the calming presence that brings grounding, ritual, and intention into everything we do.
Originally from Michigan’s east side and rooted in Holland since 2010, Kellie brings a rich blend of creativity, intuition, and steady earth-based energy to the studio. A Cancer Sun with a Taurus Moon and Capricorn Rising, she embodies nurturing warmth, grounded beauty, and quiet determination—an alchemy that shapes the soothing, supportive experiences she creates at Ritual + Root.
Her journey into deeper self-awareness led her to study Reiki, astrology, meditation, and intuitive development, and today she offers both Reiki sessions and astrology readings designed to help others reconnect with themselves.
At Ritual + Root, Kellie is the grounding force—bringing calm, clarity, and soulful ritual to the studio’s atmosphere and offerings.
