Soap Making Workshop: Shea Butter Cold Process Soap
Soap Making Workshop: Shea Butter Cold Process Soap
Come join us for a fun afternoon of soap-making! In this interactive workshop, Misty of Wicked Soaps Co. will guide you through the process of cold process soap making using plant-based oils, butters and lye along with natural essential oils, clays and dried botanicals.
Misty has been professionally formulating and making cold process soap for over 15 years and she will share her tips and tricks along with some tried and true soap recipes that you can make at home.
You will make your very own 2 pound batch of creamy shea butter cold process soap that will give you approximately 8 finished bars. We will focus on the basics of cold process soap making including soap safety, basic terminology, different plant-based oils and butters and the benefits of each in soap, the curing process, and the benefits of handmade soap vs store bought soap.
This workshop is designed for beginners, ages 13 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
We recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt and closed-toe shoes.
