Offsite Candle Workshops

 

Join us for a one-of-a-kind candle making experience!  Our candle workshops are the perfect way to add a touch of magic to your special event. Whether it's a staff party, family gathering, a get-together with friends, or you're a local business looking to host a fun activity at your location, our workshops are a fun and unique way to celebrate!

We offer private or public off-site candle making workshops within 30 miles of our Grand Haven studio.  Our candle workshops are led by Misty of Ritual + Root and Wicked Soaps Co.  With over 5 years of candle-making experience, she will come to you to share her soy candle making process! Ideal for groups 8+ for special occasions or team building. 

    Workshop Details:

    • Workshop price is $45 per person. 
    • Each person will create and take home one 7-10 oz soy candle.
    • Attendees will choose from 6+ different clean burning seasonal fragrances.
    • Workshops last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

     

    Off-Site Workshop FAQs

    What can we expect from a candle workshop?

    Misty will give an overview of the candle-making process while explaining the benefits of soy wax.  Attendees will create their own candle by following our step-by-step instruction sheet while Misty helps and guides everyone through the process. Once the candles are poured, they require around 45-60 minutes to cool and solidify enough to travel.

    What are your location requirements?
    You are responsible for arranging the location for the workshop. We cannot accommodate requests inside private homes. Off-site locations must:
    • Have access to at least one electrical outlet.
    • Have at 4+ feet of table/counter space for our wax melter and fragrance oils or room to accommodate our 8 foot table.
    • Have enough table space + seating for your entire group (Ritual + Root is not able to supply tables or chairs for your group)
    What’s the group size minimum and maximum?

    The minimum group size is 8 and the maximum is 24. If you have a group of less than 8 people, click here to learn more about our onsite private workshops.

    Do you have a minimum age requirement?

    Our candle workshops are recommended for ages 12 and up.  Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

    How long do workshops last?

    Our workshops take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours total.  

     

    For inquiries or to schedule an event, please email hello@theritualroot.com or fill out our Contact Us Form and we will get back with you within 48 hours.  Please include the following in your email inquiry:

    • Event type (team-building, birthday party, bridal shower, girl's night, etc.)
    • Event location
    • Party size (minimum of 8 required)
    • Preferred date and time

    Please note that we require workshops be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

    For private offsite workshops, there is a $90 non-refundable deposit required to confirm the reservation which will go toward the workshop balance, with the remaining balance due one week before your workshop.  

    Want attendees to pay for their own registration?  We can create a private workshop event and provide you with a link to share so each attendee can register and pay for their spot.  We just still require a $90 deposit (covers the cost of two tickets) to reserve the workshop date.

    For public offsite workshops, we will create a custom event listing where attendees can purchase their tickets individually.
